1972年在美国西雅图，Ann·Wilson和Nancy·Wilson成立了HEART——历史上唯一的女子重摇滚乐队。
1976年，HEART发行首张专辑《Dream Boat Annie》–即着名的>，当即创下销售双白金的记录，成功迈入歌坛。1977年延续《Dream Boat Annie》概念的专辑《Little Queen》，再度创造百万唱片佳绩，彻底奠定了HEART乐队在乐坛的地位。但之后乐队却面临唱片公司与乐队成员单飞问题，几度面临解散，原有的成员也走了几个。一直到1985年，HEART加盟Capital唱片公司，经过整顿HEART乐队，改走成人流行抒情摇滚路线，发出同名专辑《Heart》，并获得乐迷的认可

Without question, one of my favorite rock bands of all time is Heart. There is literally nothing Ann and Nancy Wilson can’t do musically. From their 1976 debut album Dreamboat Annie right up to the modern age, the group has been releasing rock and roll masterpieces covering a plethora of different styles – from folksy rock to straight-up hard rock, Heart has done it all. Many a Heart hits compilation has been released over the years. Read on for my review for one of many, The Essential Heart.
