David (Adam Kotz) and Sarah’s (Holly Aird) worlds came crashing down when their eldest daughter, four-year-old Alice (Jo Woodcock), disappeared on a family beach holiday. In the absence of a body, Alice was pronounced missing presumed dead and the case was closed. But Sarah was never able to stop grieving and she never gave up hope of finding her daughter alive.

Initially a story about the devastating damage the loss of a child does to a family, Torn turns the plot on its head with a shocking discovery 12 years on.

Sarah’s seemingly impossible dream of finding her lost daughter becomes a reality when she is shocked to catch sight of a girl she is certain is Alice.
