她最初于1966年发行首张个人专辑,随后自1967至1971年发行了一系列杰出的专辑如:Eli and the Thirteenth Confession,New York Tendaberry,Christmas and the Beads of Sweat, Gonna Take a Miracle等.1971年,24岁的Laura Nyro退出乐坛.1977年复出,并发行了Smile, Live at the Bottom Line等优秀专辑直到1997年因卵巢癌去世.
