Copeland 组建于2000年，是一支来自美国Florida州的乐队。现主要在Georgia州活动，音乐风格PUNK，签约于独立厂牌Militia Group。
“天使般的声音”—— Militia Group官方网站上如此评价Marsh的嗓音。一个男人的声音被说成像天使。。。不过Marsh声音性别并不模糊，相反，刚气十足，也不乏激情，只能说他的声线清新纯净。Copeland2003年发行第一张专集“Beneath Medicine Tree”，2005年推出第二张“In Motion”。
Copeland is a group whose music no one can predict. Their first album, “Under Medicine Tree” proved just that with radio rock type songs like, “Walking Downtown” and “Take Care.” But the band also showed their indie side with songs like “When Paula Sparks” and “When Finally Set Free.” Now Copeland has a new album/EP out and once again, it takes you by surprise.
The first thing I noticed while listening to the CD is that lead singer Aaron Marsh’s vocals have improved a lot since “Under Medicine Tree.” His voice rings in more clearly than before and he tries different things vocally than before making him more flexible for each song. The music is still very unpredictable. The album comes in hard with “No One Really Wins”, but shows its softer side with the song “Sleep.” The music is still very diverse. It has everything of a rock band, but then surprises us with their use of an accordion in the song “Kite.”
Copeland has definitely put out a great CD and although it only has 11 tracks, they are all pretty long and a great listen. Also, there is a second CD with additional recordings don’t acoustic style. I recommend this CD to anyone who just likes great music. Definitely a CD to listen to while driving on the freeway at night.
