   BLOODAXE is Viking Metal delivered by Nordavinden ("Northern Wind"). Although based in Thunder Bay, Canada, Nordavinden, who handles vocals, guitar and bass, hails originally from Norway. Founded in May of 2000, and utilising Rati as session drummer, the project debuted that June with the demo 'In Battle'. The inaugural album 'Bloodthrone' followed a year later, the band gaining further international exposure with the inclusion of the track 'Drowning In Mimir's Well' on the Belgian compilation album 'Drenched In Blood' and 'Within the Walls Of Eljudnir' included on the Norwegian 'Oskorei #7' sampler. 
    BLOODAXE commenced recording of a second album 'Raping The Ancient' in 2003.
