MORTICIAN 是一只来自美国纽约的著名BRUTAL DEATH乐队，乐队由主唱兼贝司手WILL和鼓手MATT组成，最初乐队的名字叫做CASKET，后来他们用自己的第一首歌曲的名字MORTICIAN作为了乐队的永久队名。在乐队组建的初期，鼓手MATT就因为吸毒和缺乏责任感而离队，好在新加入的吉他手ROGER对于鼓机编程也非常在行，乐队得以一直依靠鼓机完成了随后的现场演出和唱片的录制，乐队至今出版了三张专辑唱片，风格都是极端冷酷的BRUTAL DEATH METAL音乐，由于乐队成员对恐怖电影非常感兴趣，所以MORTICIAN的音乐当中也有大量的经典恐怖电影的音效片段。虽然，由于使用鼓机，音乐风格多年来缺少变化，使得乐队受到了一些歌迷的指责，但也有更多的歌迷非常痴迷他们的音乐，认为他们是独一无二的，世界上最残忍的死亡金属乐队，不过无论如何，至少目前MORTICIAN已经毫无疑问的成为了BRUTAL DEATH音乐流派中最有影响力的代表乐队之一，他们的音乐非但没有过时、被抛弃，反而被越来越多的人接受并成为他们的铁杆歌迷。
