Eidos公司介绍，《冠军足球经理2008》将仍旧由英国游戏开发团队Beautiful Games Studios(BGS)制作，而且新作将在前作基础上引入更多创新元素。其中包括全新的用户界面、全新目录快捷键、全面3D化的游戏引擎。
《冠军足球经理2008》将提供最新的07-08赛季的球员转会阵容，游戏的皮肤，菜单快捷方式，玩家界面将会有非常大的改变，力求让玩家有和之前不同的感受。
