What SmartGit is?

SmartGit is an efficient user interface for Git, focussing on simplicity and targeting non-experts and people who prefer a graphical application over command line usage.

SmartGit does not aim to be a 1:1 translation of command line Git. Instead, it makes use of the advantages of a graphical user interface where possible to reduce complexity and streamline workflows.

The current version of SmartGit supports all Git features which are required for the every-day work in software development projects, most notably:
